Advantages and disadvantages of laser skin resurfacing;

Advantages of Laser skin resurfacing:
• In laser resurfacing, there is no blood loss.
• The majority of research studies agree that laser resurfacing done properly can visibly reduce the appearance of fine lines and, in some cases, deeper wrinkles.
• Laser skin resurfacing offers smoother, fresher, younger skin.
• It can improve acne scars, trauma, surgery or disease. Skin resurfacing laser can make stretch marks less noticeable.
• the surgeon can control the depth of skin removed.
Disadvantages of Laser skin resurfacing:
• The skin may appear pale pink to red to a maximum of four months. However, this color usually can be covered with makeup.
• The skin may have a permanent color lighter than the surrounding skin, which can make skin rejuvenation successful for people with pigmentation.
• Possible adverse reactions include excessive scarring, infection, loss of normal skin pigmentation, redness and dryness.
• Heat from the laser may cause burns or injury.
• Patients should avoid sun exposure and use sunscreen whenever you go out.

In my opinion, the laser treatment is one of the most effective methods for acne scar removal. I personally had a Toronto laser skin procedure because I really wanted to get rid of acne scars. The results were extraordinary! My skin is now younger, fresher and smoother!
